Closed Issue: Unable to parse RSS

Nice app. Loaded with out any errors and a cool graphic too. Just tried out our company's calendar RSS without success. A very quick exception message suggested the feed was truncated. This is the example used - http://projects.basealloys.com/Home/tabid/1496/moduleid/4946/language/en-US/RSS.aspx Tried to debug the issue by viewing the ffdb.sdf storage but its password protected.
Comments: I fixed this by increasing the length of the guid field in the database. I just did a check-in with this change. Download change set 9469 and grab the cab from the FeedFlyInstaller/Release folder if you'd rather not wait another day for me to test this set as a release candidate.

Need to check date and time parsing algorithm.

For example, a feed contained the following in the published element: 2008-05-26T12:48:00.001-07:00. The web site accurately displayed this as 12:48pm. FeedFly displays 7:48pm;

This was fixed by enhancing the date parsing routine, storing the item's publication date as UTC, and then converting the date to local time before presenting on the screen. This should allow the application to be more accurate as it moves between time zones.

Closed Issue: Sort is wrong

Sometimes the sort is not displaying correctly. The sort should always show the most recent items at the top of the list. The Dilbert feed syndicates its posts with the date as the subject, which is a good test to see if the sort is working correctly.

After adding a new feed, the unread count is offset by the number of feed items found. If 1 item is found, the initial unread count will be 2. If 20 are found, it will be reported as 40.
Comments: unreadDelta was being assigned for a new feed when it should only be used against existing feeds. itemCount is used for the unread count for new feeds.

Needs more research. I added a feedburner feed today, and it only retrieved the oldest item.

The code is assuming the sender paraemeter to be a TextBox, when it is a ContextMenuItem

Recent testing has revealed several holes in the application "triggers" that keep the unread counts denormalized for feeds and folders. Depending on how these are resolved, it may be necessary to reinitialize the numbers upon application startup.

During testing, I was able to interrupt the mark as read operation against one folder with another. This caused the unread count to be incorrectly reported against one of the feeds in the first folder.

Received a SqlCeLockTimeoutException from the background thread after marking an entire feed as read. Not able to reproduce. This has occurred only once.

After following a link in post from the feed item preview screen, choosing the back option on the context menu shows an empty screen instead of the original DocumentText.

CLOSED ISSUE: Dismissal of error notification is hidden

For error notifications, a Dismiss button is shown beneath the error message. Clicking this button is the only way to clear the notification and advance the notification queue to the next error (if one exists). When an error message is too long to be displayed in the notification window, the Dismiss button is hidden, which makes it quite a challenge to advance the queue. The only way to dismiss the error is to hit the down key on the d-pad to activate the button, then hit the action key.

My proposed fix will be to place the dismiss button at the top right of the notification so the length of the error message will no longer affect its visibility.

Funny that this was never included. The application can only be shut down from a task manager. This will be helpful since FeedFly uses over 2 MB of memory during execution.
